De Tepito

counterfeit; fake; a bad copy

This is used to refer to anything counterfeit or fake regardless of its place of origin. However, the origin of the word comes from the Tepito, a place in Mexico where many pirate and counterfeit products are produced and sold. It can be used when something is not functioning well, is badly-manufactured or cheap, or an imitation of a popular product.
