Morro

kid, dude

"Moro" is the Spanish word the word for "Moor" or North-African Arab. It provided the etymological origin for the word "moreno", which means "dark-hard" or "dark-skinned", as the Moors where darker-complicted people than the native Iberians before invasion. Today, "Morro" in Mexican slang is used as a shortened version of "moreno" to mean "kid" or "dude".
